Book excerpt: This book was turned into a feature film which scooped international awards throughout Europe. It finally solves that question that has vexed us for centuries; "Why did the Egyptians build their insane pyramids?". They were the World's first skyscrapers. One of them in particular, the 'Great Pyramid' is the last of the Seven Wonders of the World and it’s a miracle that it still stands. Many have tried to destroy it, even today, ISIS sought to do the same. And while Cleopatra seems remote to us, she lived closer to our time than she did to that of the pyramid builders... mammoths still roamed the Earth when the Great Pyramid was created!! Despite it being the most incredible structure that humans have ever built, we still have no idea what its function was. Most assume it was to be the tomb for King Khufu, but then again, most agree that he was never buried there!? So why then did they spend two decades building what was to be the World’s tallest building for the next 4,000 years? Surely, even the Ancient Egyptians weren’t so vain as to devote so much time and effort to simply proving the greatness of Pharaoh Khufu? Its measures are so precise that my distant ancestor 'Isaac Newton' studied its dimensions to gauge the size of the planet. Others are so overwhelmed by its exactitude and its immense size that they feel that they have to attribute it to aliens, or Atlanteans. It's understandable then, that we struggle to understand its purpose. This book though, finally reveals the truth and its stranger than any fiction we could conjure––they believed that their pyramids were necessary to save Pharaoh's life, but also, to turn him into a god!

Book excerpt: We’ve completely misunderstood the purpose of the pyramids. They weren’t built primarily as tombs, instead they were intended to be used by Pharaoh while he was still alive. In very ancient times, the king was only allowed to rule for 30 years––then he’d be ritually killed! They didn’t want an old man in charge. One day, a Pharaoh was nearing his 30th year and decided he didn’t want to die, so came up with a set of rituals that would enable him to live on. It was called ‘Heb Sed’. This sacred ceremony was more than just a life-saver though, it also enabled the king to merge with the Sun-god. After death, Egyptian kings were believed to board the Sun-boat where they would shine down on their subjects for all eternity. However, many things could go awry in this process, particularly under the eyes of a successor. What if they bungled the funeral? What if they were a rival? Heb Sed enabled all this to occur while the king was still alive so that he could preside over proceedings, ensuring its success. And the bonus of being able to do this while alive is that some part of the Pharaoh would board the Sun-boat and in doing so, the king would become a divinity––the Pharaoh became a living God-king! But all this could only happen if they built a strange, pyramid-shaped structure to enable this potent magic to take place. So they built pyramids. And they got bigger and more magnificent with the passing of each King. This madness came to a head with Pharaoh Snefru who built two massive pyramids; the two biggest man-made structures in the World! How do you outdo this? While his son ‘Khufu’ only managed to build one pyramid, it was the most impressive structure ever built by humans. Still is, in my book. And yes, it might have functioned as his tomb, although Strabo and Diodorus swear black and blue that it wasn’t, however, it was entirely geared to the Sun-god, as you will find out... it was entirely geared for the King's Heb Sed. This book is the sequel to Architecture of Ra, but can be read independently of it. It also delves into the myths of Egypt as well as those of other cultures (Jason & the Argonauts, Icarus, Jonah, Thor, Hercules…). I don’t like calling these stories 'myths' because they actually belonged to living religions and to make that grade, the stories had to include information seminal to that culture. And if the texts contain this knowledge, then so did their religious buildings. The knowledge encoded in Egyptian legends is also encoded in their pyramids!

Book excerpt: This book reveals the true story of what was unfolding in the Middle East in the centuries leading up to the emergence of Christianity as accurately as possible. It will upset some, but that is not my goal. The true history of events is always suppressed and this is an attempt to revive the actual story as it occurred, as faithfully as possible. A long-lost prophecy in the Dead Sea Scrolls reveals that Judas Maccabeus was the original Messiah, and he did do amazing things, including liberating Israel from the oppressive Greeks. He gave Israel independence for the first time in 400 years and began a golden period. However, in the centuries to come, the spectre of the Roman army began to manifest. The Jews needed hope and so the prophecy was revamped and extended. This resulted in a whole swathe of messianic contenders and in the 70's AD, after Rome defeated the Jews in a bloody war, a relatively unknown man was extolled as the Messiah. The reason why Jesus was chosen? He was the most Western of all the contenders; he preached tolerance at a time when few Jews would. This suited Rome, and so in Rome, in a foreign tongue, his story was written. A lot of it was made up (I don't say these words lightly, I will prove this). This book answers many more questions too, questions that have vexed us for millennia such as: 'Where is the Garden of Eden?' 'What happened to Noah’s Ark?' 'Who was the first man?' 'Who was the Devil?' The answers will surprise you and they’ll challenge everything that you think you know. We live in dangerous times, when fact is hard to discern from fiction. This book offers a glimmer of truth at a time when this is the rarest of commodities.

Book excerpt: Pyramids had a specific function and this book endeavours to detail exactly how and when they operated. Pharaoh Khufu built what probably stands as the greatest ever construction that humans have produced (given the tech constraints of the time); the Great pyramid. Its accuracy, and size are just awe-inspiring; it was the tallest building in the World until the Cathedrals of Europe arrived on the scene! According to ancient historians though, Khufu was never buried there and when the Arabs first broke in to the upper chambers in 820AD, they found the sarcophagus empty! It had been ceremonially sealed without the king inside!! Are we expected to believe that they built the World’s greatest ever construction as a tomb, then sealed it forever, but without the body of the king? Isn’t that a little odd? The reality is, it was meant for something much greater than his tomb. What purpose does such a grand resting place for your body really fulfil? It appeases the ego of the living king, but thereafter, it achieves nothing. A hole in the ground can preserve the body just as well, and in fact it probably has, for that’s where most believe Khufu was buried––in an as yet undiscovered shaft tomb. Very unceremonious for someone who had such a magnificent structure built! Khufu’s father was King Snefru; he built the World’s two tallest buildings at the time. We could reason that one was to be his tomb, but then what was the other one for? The forgotten story of the pyramids is that they were principally built for the king’s Heb Sed festival, the most important event in his lifetime––should he live long enough to perform it. He had to wait 30 years before he could participate in this magical ceremony, so he spent 20 odd years building a structure that was vital for its success. After 30 years at the helm, the king was supposed to be ritually killed. Heb Sed enabled him to avoid this dire fate. His reign would be extended if he passed the rigorous tests involved in the ceremonies, but not only that, he would also become a living incarnation of the Sun-god. This ensured that he would live on for all eternity. Pyramids weren’t built for vanity, instead they were vital mechanisms for achieving these ends and so every king in the Old Kingdom constructed a pyramid to facilitate his immortality. This is the third and final book in the series, to be read after 'Architecture of Ra' and ‘Tombs of the Gods’.

Book excerpt: Pandora’s Box is the story of Gilbert O’Sullivan; a middle-aged man, stuck in his monotonous existence at Leeds University. After investigating an archaeological dig in Palestine, he is befriended by an Israeli who tells him about another Bible, one slightly different to the one we all know. When Gilbert visits ‘Bugenheim’ he finds him dying on the floor of his apartment. His final words send him on a hunt for a copy of this legendary book. Gilbert finds himself in the depths of Africa, scaling a cliff to an ancient monastery. Unbeknownst to him though, an agent of the Church is hot on his heels and engineers a fall which sees Gilbert encased in plaster and confined to a wheel chair with a morphine drip. His experiences, now humorously coloured by the morphine seeping into his veins, allow him to discover things which his academic brain would otherwise struggle to recognise. As the revelations unfold, his pursuer starts to question his own faith as the evidence mounts that someone other than his beloved Jesus is the Messiah. The interesting thing about this book is that it is a real conspiracy theory. The original Messiah was not Jesus, but a man who lived 150 years before him who few today have heard of. Pandora’s Box is a fictional account of how this might have come to the world’s attention. The information in this book is accurate; the maps are real, the information in Enoch is real, and the quotes from Judas are from the actual Gospel of Judas. History is not always a reliable witness!

Book excerpt: Enclosed is a two-part novel inspired by the unusual goings-on in the Promised Land in the last two centuries BC. The first part of this book is set in the 160’s BC, when Israel was under Greek control and a Royal Decree promising death to any Jews who didn’t follow Greek ways had just been issued. From the mire, a prophecy emerged which predicted that a Messiah would come and liberate them, and true to its word, Judas Maccabeus appeared. He led a paltry band of under-armed and ill-equipped Jews against the mighty Greek army and, against all the odds, vanquished the enemy. Due to his heroics, many thought that he was the manifestation of the prophecy … many believed that Judas was the Messiah. The second part of the book is also included and is set around the time of Christ. Times had been good for the Jews, but the Roman menace was closing in. As they turned the screws, the Maccabees started to lose their shine and so the prophecy was rewritten. This led to a swathe of wannabe messiahs emerging to claim the title. Roman intervention leads to the most Western of these contenders being accepted as the true messiah. This prophecy is real. It had been lost to time until this book. Its potency inspired the rebellion against the Greeks and then, 160 years later, led to the phenomenon of messianic contenders that emerged at the time of Jesus. And while some of the ideas expressed within these pages may seem extraordinary, they reanimate what actually happened 2,000 years ago and reveal the great effect Roman manipulation had on history. The Romans were master propagandists and their actions in those distant times have had a huge impact on the World in which we live. Conspiracy theories are a dime a dozen these days, usually based on spurious ideas, but this is the opposite. This was a conspiracy, but one that has been so well covered up that no-one will believe it.
